I hit on a problem with gpEasy 3.5RC2 with Simple Blog and Easy Comments Plugins installed (all installed from scratch, latest versions as of today):
After filling in a comment to a blog post the blog post itself isn't editable anymore. Instead of of showing the complete edit controls ("Edit TWYSiWYG", "Edit (All)", "Delete" etc.) there is just a simple edit control (with one single "Edit" link). This link doesn't edit the blog post content but the "Text.php" dialogue box. See screenshot below.
Blog Posts without comments are editable as expected.
Furthermore, the Plugins/Easy Comments/Recent Comments Panel doesn't show any comments at all.
Anyone any clue what the problem is?
Thanks and cheers,
Ok, problem found and fixed. The bug was in gpEasy, here's the file with the updated code and we should have a new release candidate soon as well.
Thanks for your super-fast reply.
Your fix solves the edit blog post problem. Thanks a lot.
Regarding the second problem I ran into: administration panel of recent comments doesn't show any entries (with comments in blog posts existing, of course). See screenshot attached.
Thanks for your efforts!
I'm looking forward to further release candidates. Is there a date when you plan to release the final 3.5 version - approximately?
with comments in blog posts existing, of course
So here's the thing: blog comments are part of the blog addon and aren't associated with the Easy Comments Plugin. The Easy Comments plugin is only needed if you want to allow comments on pages. Unfortunately, the Blog plugin doesn't have a central area for administering comments yet.
