Hi Josh,

just realised something, which might be a small bug (or maybe I am too stupid to realize the real functionality...).

When having the main menu, create a menu item, e.g. 'Products' and some sub-menus like 'Product A', 'Product B' and 'Product C'. Fill all four pages with content ('Products' plus the three sub-product pages) and refresh your page. You will see the drop-down menu and you can click on all the sub-menu items. Very sadly, you cannot click on the main menu item (in this case 'Products'), which might have relevant content as well.

Any idea's? Hints? Also asked some friends of mine to check if they get to the respective page - they also did not find a way, beside entering the link name in the browser :-)

P.s.: Site is not locked, etc. In other themes (beside the bootstrap), it works without any hazzles.

Thanks for taking a look into this!

Cheers.

And..... (sorry, to use this thread as well, but somehow this is linked to the 1st post):

Is there a chance to integrate a 'side menu' (on the right side), which shows all the menu-items (inkl. 2nd and 3rd level)? Tried to google and search the forum - but somehow I am too stupid to do so. Any hints on this one? Some of the other themes have that, but I am not able to allocate the content box on the relevant side....

Thanks as well for this one!

Coming back to Post #1:

Just figured out, that the same problem exists on gpEasy.com. When you click in the Menu on 'Resources'.

You will see the drop-down going up, seeing all the sub-menu items. But when you want to specifically click on 'Resources' - no chance!

But when you want to specifically click on 'Resources' - no chance!

This is how Twitter Bootstrap was designed. Since mobile phones and tablets don't have mouseover, drop down menus use onclick to display sub menus.

The Resources page becomes a simple placeholder in the menu.

Ahhh, thanks Josh for the clarification! Did not know that before. But yes, that makes sense :-D

Any hints/ ideas for post #2 (side menu)?

Thanks!

If there's not a side menu in the layout you're currently using, you'll need to edit the template.php file.

If there is a side menu already, select "Edit This Layout" from the admin toolbar. Then select "Insert" from the highlighted area above the sidebar. From the dialog that opens, select "Link Menus", check "All Links" and click "Add New Menu".

Apparently, you can restore the hover function by adding this CSS:

ul.nav li.dropdown:hover ul.dropdown-menu{
    display: block;
}

There are other javascript/jQuery methods too. just google "bootstrap menu hover" and find what works best for you.
