Topic: DropDown nenus behaviour in Theme Business Model

Hi Gerhard,

I fixed the problem installing the theme and I added the font Ageone.eot (IE). Thank you for such remarks.
Otherwise, for the drop-down menu-behavior, I think IE (especially older versions) have trouble with the jQuery framework javascipt.
Then try to solve the problem by modifying the function mainmenu in template.js by the following:

function mainmenu(){
$("#menuwrap .menu_top ul").css({display: "none"}); // Opera Fix
$("#menuwrap .menu_top li").hover(function(){
        $(this).find('ul:first').css({visibility: "visible",display: "none"}).show(400);

Thus, if this solution works best, you can delete the inclusion of jquery file (jquery-ui-min.js) in template.php.
I hope my
explanations are clear enough
and that it will solve your problems.

your website is apparently a sub-domain, which is a problem in access javascript file paths.
I changed the paths to make them more portable.
get the latest version I posted.

 you can also do the same for the footer_top background image, then it can be displayed in IE8 too.

Topic: website displays incorrectly in IE

ok Nick,

the flash banner does not disturb.

However, are you sure of the name of your images?

in .main { background-image: url(images/background_main.jpg);

have you a picture named background_main.jpg in the images folder?

and in the same way for #logo { background-image: url(images/logo.png);
have you a picture named logo.png in the images folder?
and avoid the space between "url" and "("
background-image: url(images/background_main.jpg);
sorry, it was not specified in my previous post
excuse me

Hi Nick,

In your CSS you just forgot the background-image property => background-image: url ("path to your logo or picture");

read again my previous post.

best regards

I'm sorry for the bad display in IE8 and I confess a little sheepishly, that never use IE, I have only tested it in version 9.
I remember that IE8 does not recognize background: url ("") must therefore replace each background: url ("") by:
   background-image: url ("");
   background-position: ... ;
   background-repeat: ...;

logo for this will become:
   background-image: url (images / logo.png);
   background-position: left 50%;
   background-repeat: no-repeat;
To delete the border for all images that are links, just add in main.css :    #content img { border:none; }

Moreover, it seems to me that there are filters to simulate the microsoft "text-shadow" and "box-shadow" but the result is not very good, it would be better to look at the CSS behavior: url ("").
Otherwise, to make it simpler, playing with "border" or background images.
When I have time I will try to look into this.

Apologies for any inconvenience.
