Installing plugins can expand the functionality of your gpEasy installation to do almost anything you can imagine. There is a growing list of plugins you can download on gpEasy.com and, if you can't find what you're looking for, it's extremely easy to create custom plugins.

Installing Plugins

The easiest way to install a plugin is to install it directly from your gpEasy installation:

  1. Under the "Plugins" heading on your administrator toolbar, click the "Download Plugins" link (you'll need to be logged in of course).
  2. This will display available gpEasy plugins in your installation similarly to the display on gpEasy.com
  3. Locate the plugin you'd like to install, either from the visible list or via the search option, then click the "Install" link.
  4. Finalize the installation by clicking "Continue" for the three installation checks and you're done.

Manual Installation

If the plugin you want to install is not available on gpEasy.com or if you're working on a custom plugin, you'll want to install the plugin manually.

  1. Upload the plugin files to the /addons folder of your installation. If you have a .zip package, download the zip to your computer, uncompress it then upload the contents to the /addons folder.
  2. Under the "Plugins" heading on your administrator toolbar, click the "Manage" link.
  3. Under "Available Plugins" locate the plugin you want to install and click "Install". Note: If it's a plugin you plan on customizing, you may want to select the "Develop" option instead of "Install")
