Sorry but I don't know what the problem is that you are having. I'm running 1.7a3 under xampplite and have no problems with the simple search plugin.

You can report your issue as a bug. . . see the contact page

Also. . . uninstall and reinstall it and see if that solves the problem.

Please note gpEasy is currently in alpha status, not for use on productive websites and only a developer version.

To hide this error messages you have to modify index.php line 4

define('gpdebug',true);

Change true to false ... thats all!
