have you ever considered to bundle the installation of plugins in the course of a theme installation? Or is there already a possibility for that?
Or should we use Install_Check.php to check plugin dependencies of a theme before it can be installed?
What do you think?

edit:/ Many plugin features could also be included into a theme but I'd prefer to keep things modular.

I have actually. I was thinking it might even be nice if gpEasy had just the addon folder instead of a theme and addon folder. Unfortunately, the way things have played out you can add plugin hooks to themes but cannot have templates within a plugin.

Modular is certainly how I envisioned things initially, but there seem to be situations where bundling plugin features in with a theme can make things easier for developer and/or user. For example, some projects I've built off of gpEasy that include a custom theme and custom plugin features, I do all the work in the theme folder.

So we only need to take care about JS and CSS not be loaded twice if we use them in a theme and a possible plugin uses them as well.
