Hi.

is there possibly someone, who is creating a plugin for Typesetter.cms for getting a cookie law policy banner popping up on the front page?

All I've found on the net are a few free solutions, which I sorry to say don't have the knowledge of how to implement, or I simply don't understand the syntax of.

Please help somebody ?

Try this one

Cookie-Compliance-JK

originally from webksde, but with a few minor changes by me.

Hi Jürgen,

have installed it on my site www.hh-support.com after configuring.

Must be missing some detail somewhere, what am I supposed to do with \datenschutz ?

You may add a button that links to your Terms of Use / Privacy Policy page.
Since the EU GDPR came into force in this May, websites must declare rather precisely how personal data of EU citizen visitors are acquired, processed and stored. A simple banner won't work anymore for that, normally. Hence the button option.

Still having an issue. It doesn't work at all. What is wrong, or what am I missing?

Everything seems to be correctly installed, but I can't see any banner???

Everything seems to be correctly installed, but…

Yep, there is a 'SyntaxError: '' string literal contains an unescaped line break' Javascript error.
It's in the message:

… upplýsingar um tína nýtslu av heimasíðu okkara.
Okkara samstarvsfelagar kunnu samanseta …

Try to replace it with <br/>

Hi Jürgen,

I made that correction, and it seems to be working. But something is funny, because now I'm not allowed to login as administrator! It simply refuses to login, unless I reload the page. I reload, and the same result :-(

I can't even deactivate it, because I'm not admitted.

What can I do???? HELP

Renaming the /addons/Cookie_Compliance folder will render it useless. If the plugin is the cause, you should now be able to log in (getting an error message that plugin hooks don't exist).

I renamed he folder, but still not able to login. That was on Chrome 69. Then I tried FF 62, no problem at all :-)

There must be an issue with Chorme, even IE 11 logged in.

?????

Probably because Chrome increasingly enforces the use of HTTPS.
Can you switch your site to use https. Many hosting providers make it rather easy nowadays to use free "Let's encrypt' certificates.
