Hi,

I am in the process of selecting another CMS for one of my websites, and I have 2 questions regarding Typesetter:

1-.is it multilingual, I mean is it easily possible to manage the pages in 2 languages, such as for example English and French ?

2-Is it possible to install a customed version of CKeditor, I mean: going to the CKeditor Website, use tje "Online Builder" to get CKeditor with the addons I need, and then install this CKeditor 'version" as a olugin of Typesetter ?

Thank you for your reply,

1. For multilanguage exists a plugin  at http://www.panwagen.ee/rif-Multi_Language

2. For ckeditor  is in  include\thirdparty\ckeditor a file build-config.js which You can upload to ckeditor.com  and add other plugins.

At  https://github.com/gtbu/CKE_Themes is a themeswitcher which You will need if You use other themes .

All You have to do after is  replace or overwrite the content of the /ckeditor-directory with the content of the zip  (the ckeditor-update-plugin is for versions of Typesetter, which have ckeditor still  in  a /ckeditor_34 - directory.) At http://typesetter5.bplaced.net/Ckeditor You will find older Versions  --- BUT : Not all plugins fit together !!!

Yes I know, you are right, but CKeditor provides an "online builder" that allows the user to download a package including CK + all the addons he wants:

https://ckeditor.com/cke4/builder

It would be an improvement to allow Typesetter to install CKeditor in this way (by installing the downloaded file as a plugin)...

The online builder is only checked for the correct functioning of official plugins. If You add an unofficial plugin online (which maybe old and incompatible to others or to the ckeditor-version), You may experience malfunctions.

In Typesetter is under Settings -> ckeditor the possibility to install other plugins from harddisk. Of course You must watch the dependencies of the plugins, and many plugins are incompatible. After every installation You should go into ckeditor and klick at EXAMPLE. If ckeditor doesnt come up, then the plugin is incompatible (and to remove).

Hi Mabu,

do you know if it's possible to use ckeditor 5 with typesetter and if, which build (Classic, Balloon, etc). would fit the best with typesetter?

BTW: you seem to be the only one who is still active in this forum, is the development of typesetter stopped, would be a shame.

Regards

Frank

The integration of Ckeditor 5 is not planned at the moment - not very useful because of the loss of plugins - and not much better  in practice. Ckeditor has now V 4.15 and is not dead

The development of Typesetter happens at Github - as there are firms connected it will probably be further developed.  But the github-master is ready for production !
