Ok, the fact that the gpsess_ file exists suggests that the login process made it beyond the "Login incorrect. Please try again" at some point. Could it have been a different message the first time you tried logging in?
And since the message you are getting reads "Login incorrect. Please try again." and not "Login incorrect. Please try again. Did you forget your password?", it sounds like the /data/_site/users.php file was corrupted.
Would you mind looking at your users.php file and checking the contents. It should look something like this
<?php defined('is_running') or die('Not an entry point...'); $fileVersion = '2.0a3'; $fileModTime = '1295480653';
$users = array ( 'username' => array ( 'password' => '123abca20fa66e72b47f176ea233d2fc28dab5f3', 'granted' => 'all', 'attempts' => 1, 'file_name' => 'gpsess_9CavTb9WOt7I6F3uUj7ulpgYDAiRkjgiCTdMCNFk.php', 'lastattempt' => 1295480653, ), );
I really appreciate the help tracking down the bugs though I'm sorry you're having these problems.
This is what i have done:
- fresh downloaded gpEasy 2.0a3 - unpacked the map gpEasy in Xampp/htdocs - started the installer, everything OK - username: admin, pass: admin After complete the installation and login the message: Oops, that didn't work, please try again.
<?php defined('is_running') or die('Not an entry point...'); $fileVersion = '2.0a3'; $fileModTime = '1295516807';
$users = array ( 'admin' => array ( 'password' => 'd033e22ae348aeb5660fc2140aec35850c4da997', 'granted' => 'all', 'attempts' => 0, 'file_name' => 'gpsess_kHJ31SYE0HNUWAKiXtt4goCeUOOa0lUkotmN8U4K.php', 'lastattempt' => 1295516807, ), );
File ': 'gpsess_kHJ31SYE0HNUWAKiXtt4goCeUOOa0lUkotmN8U4K.php', still empty
