Hello,

Are the instructions at http://gpeasy.com/Upgrading_gpEasy still relevant?

What are the little changes?

I could do it from the back-end but not sure exactly if I made little changes to /include or not, so I have to compare files with a fresh 1.7 package.

The theme used is a default one.

Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure what you're referring to here. 2.0 has some fairly significant improvements from 1.7. You can try out 2.0 first or take a look at the change history to get a better idea of the changes.

Otherwise the instructions on the Upgrading gpEasy page are correct. If you did modify anything in the /include folder in 1.7, you'll lose those changes. Not sure why you would have modified the /include folder though unless you were changing the way gpEasy works.

Let me know if you need anything else.

Hi Josh,

I have a problem to upgrade of gpeasy from the 1.7 to the 2.0 version.

The initial problem was to add the blog addon. This addon requirement is to have the 2.0b1 version installed.

I perform the upgrade of the include and theme directories. But it seemes that the file include/common.php still contains a reference to the 1.7 version. I suspect that the common.php admin.php main.php and special.php files are created at the initial installation of the gpeasy. Then only copying files to upgrade the version is for not sufficient.

I do not find an update bouton/item/choice in onr of the admin menu.

Best regards,

Bertrand-

The initial problem was to add the blog addon. This addon requirement is to have the 2.0b1 version installed.

As long as you upgrade gpEasy to 2.0 first, then upgrade the blog addon, everything will work fine.

I suspect that the common.php admin.php main.php and special.php files are created at the initial installation

None of these files are generated during installation actually. Further gpEasy does not modify anything in the /include folder.

I do not find an update bouton/item/choice in onr of the admin menu.

The update will run automatically once you upload the new /include directory

Hope that helps
