I was trying a newsticker effect in my template and it uses prototype.js. As soon as I enabled the theme my editable areas were not editable anymore but the effect was visible. Removing prototype.js from the theme made everything work again, except for the ticker effect. How can I manage this?

I haven't used prototype much, but since gpEasy uses jQuery, I can see how there would be conflicts... in fact there are some documented on jQuery's website: http://docs.jquery.com/Using_jQuery_with_Other_Libraries , http://forum.jquery.com/topic/jquery-conflicts-with-prototype-and-the-fix

My suggestion though would be to try to not use prototype and use jQuery instead so you don't have to load two different libraries into the browser and don't have to worry about conflicts.

I think I'll avoid prototype. Thanks.
