Hi,
Can anyone help me get this working please. I have added <?php gpOutput::Get('Cycle_ss'); ?> to theme > template.php file. I can then see this gadget in layouts section but this is where I get lost.
Where do I add the <div class="cycle_ss">....list of pictures paths....</div> code?
Is this added to the theme template.php file, or add to page by editing it and inserting in 'source' mode, or do I make a new 'extra content' area with it in there and then apply to Cycle_ss gadget in layouts section? I have tried all of above however all I see are the images displaying in the webpage but stacked one on top of the other instead of in a slideshow.
Firefox 4, gpEasy ver 2.1.
Would really appreciate some instructions on this,
Many thanks in advance,
Dave.

Hi Strodtbeck,
Thanks so much for your reply.
Yes I did read that, but I still couldn't get it working.
I know this is a really basic issue on my part but I have tried various ways as described in my first post. If you could just say where the div should be placed, I'll work out the rest.
Thanks again, Dave.

That link you sent doesn't work by the way: http://trueacu.localhost/Plugins_Cycle If you want to change in any documentation, should be: http://trueacu.com/Plugins_Cycle

lol. . . posted the localhost link.
The div needs to be inserted in the page you are adding the slide show to.
Edit page -> click "source" on CKEditor ->add the div info.
Easiest way is to add your images first then -> source -> wrap images with div.
The gadget should be added to the layout or page before the images.

Hi Strodtbeck,
Thanks so much for your reply.
I spent the last two days (on and off) trying to get this to work and I can't - I give up! I've tried everything (aided by your instructions) and am so frustrated, and feel so dumb. I'm a web developer for the last ten years and these days there isn't much I can't get working. Does it definitely work with version 2.1? I even installed a fresh copy of gpEasy in case it was conflicting with another plugin or anything else. The bit you said 'The gadget should be added to the layout' means a few scenarios to me but I think I've tried it all. I still must be doing something wrong.
I still think gpEasy is fantastic and this doesn't take away from that.
Anyway thanks again for your help. I'll just install a java script or similar and that should sort me out.
Dave.
By the way that localhost link appears on this page: http://gpeasy.com/Special_Addon_Plugins?id=77

done. . .
as you will see I just added a section before the images for the gadget. removed the gadget form the layout in general. it's only on the page now.
not really sure why it didn't work the way you had it--it should have but it seems that for that theme it wants to be added as a section before the images.

hmmmmm
Well first things first - thanks so much for sorting that out - it's perfect now.
What you did is about only thing I didn't try, but I should be able to recreate what you did. I'll try it with other themes as well and see if I learn anything else. Will post back here for others if I think it's useful
Great support - Thanks again.
