I've searched 'forms' here and I don't think anything like this exists. The closest I've seen is the acupuncture form at

I want to develop a form that people can use to fill in a registration for an event and have it saved to a database. But perhaps I'm overthinking this, maybe I can use a custom contact form and just have the registration emailed to me?

Can I use iframes in the GPEasy editor and just have the data collection done by a web form using php to load into a database at another url?

Does anything like this exist as a plugin already or in development, to be able to collect data and then export it to the screen or a csv file?

Nothing that I know of exists yet.I

I don't think you'd need to use an iframe though. You could make your form right in the editor and point it to the php script on your server that will either email the information or save it to a database.

<form method="post" action="---point to your php file---">

<input type="text" .... />

But if I don't use an iframe for the php that creates and processes the form how can I give feedback to the users that their form has been submitted while still inside the GPLEasy CMS?

Good point.

It would probably make the best sense to make it a plugin with a special page or gadget.
