I'm not much concerned about the label in the admin functions, the webmaster should be able to read english.
I would only ask that plugins don't use the label in the frontend, where it's visible to the visitor. In the frontent only translatable text should be used.
In this case that would mean to replace the label "MyGuestbook" in the output with a field "MyGuestbook" in text.php. That would solve my problem quick and effectively.
So now probably I don't quite understand. The label 'MyGuestbook' can be changed in Page Manager->Rename/Details. (except the page's slug).
Yes administrators should know English, but many common users (not administrators) don't understand a word of English language, although they can speak well other foreign languages (Russian, Greek, German, Spanish, Italian ... etc), and would be very helpfull for them to have the plugins menu translated. Each time I want update some plugin, I need to change all the labels manually in Addon.ini before the installation (or alternatively edit config.php after the installation :-)
To make the Problem as clear as possible: When I install MyGuestbook, a page Special_MyGuestbook is created. When I view that page, it says at the top "MyGuestbook". And that can not be changed without editing some file.
Of course it would be good to have translateable plugins. But as I wrote on your feedback suggestion, editing the menu items won't help you very far, you'll have to translate any admin pages the plugin may have as well. And that can definitely not be done in the config. So we would need a built in support for translateable plugins. I wouldn't regard that as a very high priority, since I don't even have a user that would need to configure a plugin on a regular basis, although I see that can happen.
Yeah, now I've understand. On the admin toolbar is: Current page - Configuration - and there you can redefine the label for MyGuestbook. Though you probably overlook it :) It is very similar menu as in the Special Blog plugin, I had the same problem about it too, didn't know there is appended special menu for Special page :-)
