Hi, you're right the plugin lacks a basic usage instruction. I just figured out, that when editing page in ckEditor and switch to Source view and use this:
<div class="toggle_hidden"> text to hide </div>
it replaces that text. And that list of used hooks in fact just describes the plugin's activity on remote machine, not useful here...
Be sure, i will..messing with the html and css. Anyway, a suggestion for this forum, admin(Josh, i believe?) could create some general "sticky like" topic, where we could ask all round questions without opening sometimes really unneccesarry topic? I believe, ill have some further questions in the future, and i wouldn't like to open too much unneccesarry topics. Em Stano, or is it "Stanko"? That would be Slovenian, anyway, an expert like you, you have maybe some sort of IM, skype maybe? I like direct contact, and i could use some help/advice sometimes. Its great to be back, and when i saw all the new features gpEasy has, i wanted to install it and test it, but now i want to go even higher. Two weeks ago, i had zero knowledge of css and i already build my own theme, and im proud. Still, needs some "polishing", but its a good start. Created one before that, but had difficulty with template.php file and output calls. An hour passed, i messed the whole file, then i got mad, delete the files and started fresh. The point is, without gpEasy i wouldn't do any of that and im really thankful that i found this cms on opensourcecms.com or whatever that site is, and when i tried it first a year or so back, i knew this is the one :) . As i really like designing, i started to learn myself CSS, and im doing good(i think). As i said in other post, i will probably post a theme here, when it's 100% done to my liking(im constantly changing things).And Josh, Slovenian translation will be finished tomorrow, 100%.
That's great. I don't know nothing about java and coding isn't really for me, i guess. I will stick to the CSS and keep learning. :)
Anyway, a question. My theme has a "page container", inside i have header and other divs, now i tried to validate my php file and it said 3 errors.
Probably you'll find useful this Firefox addon: HTML Validator. And those errors are really basic:
1/ simply add this two lines at the start of your template
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en" lang="en">
(as you can see it in every template file)
2) close the link: <link rel="icon" href="favicon.ico" type="image/x-icon"/>
3) simply put the footer into another div: <div> your footer </div> and it will do it.
Thank you. Figured out the first one looking at the source code of this site, and i had text xlmns missing, so no big deal here. Second one i fugured out too, element wasn't closed. About third one ill go look, what i can do. If i fail, ill be pain in the ass here(looking for answers). Thank you, Stano.
