Hello,

I installed gpEasy into a demo directory on our server, and made some changes (different template, etc). I then deleted the whole demo directory and re-copied a fresh install into a new demo directory. Now, when I try and get past the initial screen (everything passes, I 777'd the data dir) it brings back the initial website title, blanks out the admin user name and the second password box. I cannot get past that screen even if I change the values to new ones.

What can I do to get past the screen?

Thanks,

Harv

Hi Harv,

By "initial screen" I'm picturing a screen like the screenshot below?

What exactly happens when you click the Install button? Do you get a blank page? Are there any messages?

It appears that I cannot paste screenshots here...I will try & email [email protected] instead...

BTW, the screen you posted was the correct screen. After filling out fields and clicking Install, the screen reappears with mostly empty fields, reverting back to it's original state.

That email will work. You should be able to add images to the post though. Click the "image" button in the editor toolbar (it's on the bottom right of the top toolbar) when creating or editing a post.

Very strange behavior.

My first thought about the password field being populated had me very confused (gpEasy doesn't do it) but then I realized you might have your browser set up to remember passwords? If that's the case, then I won't worry about it.

The rest of it has me completely confused... two thoughts though:

1) You could turn debugging on to see if any error messages turn up.

2) I've uploaded a modified /include/install/install.php file. It is set up to output the command being called with each request. For some reason, the install process isn't being fired and I can only think it's because the command isn't being passed properly.

Sorry for the trouble, I hope we can get this fixed for you soon!
