Hello,
good work, but inconvenient: missing a captcha for comments (no recaptcha):
Hello,
I do not like the built-in Recapcha GPeasy. Before, on wordpress, I used a terrible plugins, autonomous and no spam.
He was of the style, what letter between A and C for example.
With a question-are you a robot?
With math-4 +? = 9 (operations + - *)
Options to choose to activate the capcha to: Login form, comment form, ... etc ...
Possibility to combine or not.Thanks
Diana

Does it come once, eventually? That would be great!
With best regards,
navi

Part of the recent release does open the doors for more captcha alternatives.
I've built an addon that implements the simple math operations described in the other post: Anti Spam Math
Once installed, a simple math formula is displayed for forms where the recaptcha would noramally be displayed.

I understand, it doesn't work in guestbook and in simple blog1 too, just in simple blog - correct?
It is dependant on how the plugin was developed. If the plugin developer included a place for the recaptcha to show, then the AntiSpamMath plugin would show up in that place. I haven't had a chance to check which plugins use the recaptcha code.
and it seems, whatever fill in - no comment passes ...
Could it be that you didn't fill out other required fields? I just checked, and it seemed to be working.
I also just upload a new version that adds some options and removes the unecessary messages that were being output.

I tested anti spam math 1.1 plugin with simple blog1 plugin (not your's, so far I know). No effect. (Sorry for my 'horrible-terrifying' english, but it's really not best... :)
Configuration of this plugin (sb1) shows recaptcha option, but I can't check it...

Yes, I filled out the fields: name and comment.
Then I tested anti spam math 1.1 plugin with simple blog plugin, your plugin, so far I know.
Can check the option (re)captcha, but still no comment passes...
Can't resolve - why it's not working.

Took a closer look at the Simple Blog plugin, and there was a problem with how it was working with the recaptcha/anti spam code. I've uploaded a fixed copy.
Really sorry for the trouble. Let me know if you have any more trouble with the new version.

Don't worry! I like to experiment, so I can learn some things.
GREAT! Thanks!
Now it works not with Simple Blog1, but with your Simple Blog plugin.
And I modified your Anti Spam Math script a bit: took the minus and divide out, and changed the rand to (0,10). Makes it much easier. ;)
I would like to ask you, Josh, what you are thinking about this:
Simple Blog1 1.3.3.1
This is a copy of Simple Blog 1.3.3 with extras like: ... * Sort Blog Entries Asc/Desc * Edit Sub Title * Edit Date of Blog * ... * Configure format of Blog Entry Date when editing Blog Entry * ... Hopefully if any of this is useful it will make it into the REAL Simple Blog by Josh. Realize there is no easy way to convert a blog from Simple Blog to Simple Blog1 or vice versa.

A 'wish list':
At least 1. & 5. really useful.
A bug in your Simple Blog plugin?
When I have created a new post, and then immediately use the function of the browser to load the page new, then your plugin creates the post again...
