Thanks Froelix and Jogai for your responses. I really dunno what's up. Have tested it with PHP5.3.8 on localhost, have cleared Chrome cache, installed clean version of RC1, tried to edit Home page, but only a blank area still appears. When switched back to 2.4, the page editing here works fine. The same problem appears in each browser, Firefox, Opera and Explorer, so it is not browser dependent.
Tested it with PHP5.3.3-7+squeeze9 and there it works fine. But it not works with PHP version 5.3.10-1~dotdeb.1. Seems like the problem occurs only with latest php releases.

Is it possible to include CKFinder solving Idea 15? KCFinder? A little late to do this while its RC, but since its a major release it would be 'justifiable'. (Not exactly the right word I'm looking for, but you know what I mean) It solves idea 15 and 54.
And will the the CKeditor be updatet? I ask because I saw a newer version, not that I need a specific fix. There is much fixed and added in ckeditor since 3.4.x.

Definitely a possibility, but probably not before 3.0. A change like that is fairly significant and would need to be thoroughly tested.

The latest gpEasy releases do actually use CKEditory 3.6.3. We just haven't renamed the folder from "ckeditor_34" to maintain the correct file paths with past gpEasy installations.

I'm not sure what KCFinder will add that's not already supported in the current file browser. But if you're exploring options, look at Core 5 as well.

@Strodbeck: You got me. I'm using you to push my idea's ;-)
Actually, I brought this up because I thought both file managers were using the same component. On second look I'm not sure about that but with KCFinder it could be that way since it can be used standalone and integrated.
ps: I hope I don’t offend anyone in case it is the same component and I think otherwise. I don’t want to imply gpEasy isn’t set up efficient enough, but I'm not familiar (enough yet) with php and gpEasy to dive in the code and look if my assumptions are correct.
